After we decided that we wanted to do a horror themed film we thought of some films that had openeings similar to how we wanted to do ours. We looked at the opening to "The Strangers" and picked out key elements that we wanted to incorporate into our film. For example this film begins at the end which is the idea that we want to do. It also has shots of various locations and props which have meaning to what happened in the actual action of the film for example "blood on a wall". All of this adds suspense to the film which interested us and enabled us to come up with similar ideas for our own opening scene.
